This morning I read an article that was very inspiring, the general idea is to think more.
Now thinking about it, whether I read a post on making money or a book, in many cases, I either finish reading it and that's it, or I think the author is amazing, or I start imagining various things.
So, the question arises, is it really meaningful to read so many books and articles?
Reading definitely has an effect, but the gains are minimal.
After reading this article this morning, I couldn't help but write this article to urge myself.
Now I realize that most of our time is wasted on pseudo-reading, without transforming what we have read into our own.
For a long time, I only read things I agreed with, and didn't even look at things I didn't agree with. Now I realize how silly that was.
Until a comprehensive cognitive system is established, any book can be read.
When reading a book or article, ask a little more why?
For example: when reading an article on making money, many people tend to have two mindsets after reading it. One is, this person is amazing, I wish I could be like that; the other is, is that it? I can do that too.
Actually, I belong to both of the above mindsets.
Of course, there is also a third mindset, what was the original intention of the person writing this article; where is the money-making point of this project; how to form a closed loop; what resources do I have that I can use; which points can be applied to my project; he said the method of attracting traffic is good, can I use it for my project...
What I want to say is, I hope we can all become the third mindset, because articles without deep thinking cannot become our own.
When reading each article, ask why more, it will always be beneficial.
There may also be misunderstandings due to insufficient cognition, and errors may be revealed when breaking them down. Indeed, there may be errors when initially breaking them down, but if basic breakdown cannot be achieved, how can there be growth.
For me personally, the best way to break things down is to ask why more, ask when there are doubts in areas where I don't understand, find the corresponding answers and then continue.
There is also a little trick, when reading, underline and write down your thoughts on the parts that trigger thinking, and then verify them later to see if what you wrote is correct, which can also increase your thinking ability.
Finally, I'll leave you with a saying, reading a thousand times is not as good as practicing once.
